TubeOhm Vintage is a robust virtual synthesizer plugin developed by German developer Andre Laska of TubeOhm Instruments, explicitly engineered to recreate the warm, organic, “human” sounds of classic, big old-school analog hardware synthesizers. It is widely recognized for moving away from cold, purely electronic sounds to deliver lush atmospheres, rich strings, retro organs, and synthetic vocals. Dual-Architecture Engine

The plugin essentially houses two complete synthesizers in one interface, split across “Structure 1” and “Structure 2”. It handles massive voice architecture by mixing a traditional oscillator engine with a sampler engine:

Voice Power: It can deliver up to 4 samplers or a staggering 28 oscillators per single voice.

Oscillator Layering: Features include superwave capabilities, oscillator ring-modulation, and “PART” ring-modulation to sculpt highly complex waveforms. Performance & Sound Modulation

Sound Generation: It comes packaged with 128 factory samples and a separate soundbank of 128 production-ready patches.

Performance Control: Includes a key-split function alongside two independent, fully programmable arpeggiators (ARPs).

Modulation & Movement: Sound designers have access to 10 multi-stage envelopes (complete with loop functionality), 6 Low-Frequency Oscillators (LFOs), and an advanced vector amplifier modulation matrix.

Filters & Effects: The synth utilizes four 12/24dB multi-Voltage Controlled Filters (VCFs) paired with a dedicated onboard effects rack containing an equalizer, tube distortion, chorus, delay, and reverb.

The Randomizer: A dedicated MIDI randomizer and freely assignable knobs allow producers to instantly mutate patches and discover unique sonic variations. Evolution and Availability

Originally introduced in 2011 as a legacy 32-bit VST plugin built for Windows operating systems (XP, Vista, 7), the product was packaged natively or could be run standalone using the third-party utility SaviHost.

While the developer temporarily stopped commercial operations and hardware production under TubeOhm Instruments, the official website has transitioned into hosting updated 64-bit VST3 plugins for Windows ⁄11, letting musicians try out functional demonstration versions directly from the TubeOhm Instruments Page.
